 “Rejoice, Pray and Give Thanks”.

The Northwest Unit CLP at St. Charles Parish (Edmonton) and the Northeast Unit CLP at Our Lady of the Angels (Fort Saskatchewan) decided to merge the dedication night last October 29.  Before the final blessing in the Saturday afternoon Mass, Father Francis Mariappa (Pastor)shared and voiced out to the congregation his very sincere appreciation and whole hearted thanks to Couples for Christ from Edmonton for their commitment travelling diligently to Fort Saskatchewan for eight succeeding Saturdays leading and serving in the Christian Life Program.  A very warm applause from the parishioners was truly encouraging and uplifting.

Before the commencement program started, members from Edmonton North Chapter slowly filled up the meeting room. Numerous members and guests joined the celebration to the surprise of the service team. They were welcomed by the Singles for Christs’ choir rendering praise and worship songs. At 7:00 pm, Fr. Francis did the exhortation and blessing of the food. As always, there were plenty of food and different kinds of dishes to the delight of the attendees.

The welcome song and the pray over for our 11 newly found brothers and sisters were spirit filled and overwhelming as tears of joy flowed down from so many eyes. Likewise the participants’ sharings were fulfilling and inspiring. Once again the amazing grace and peace of God’s love was felt in that small meeting room.

It was past 10:00 pm when Fr. Francis closed the night with very powerful parting messages and prayers. He was very gracious and deeply pleased with what CFC is doing in his Parish. He said, as I quote, “We can bring our heart in solid rock to others through the power of the Holy Spirit only if we are rooted in the love of Christ.”

Praise and glory to God for these two fruitful and blessed Christian Life Programs. These could not have been fulfilled without the dedication and commitment of the team leaders; Bro.Rene and Sis. Onie Silla (St. Charles Parish), Bro. Ronald De Los Reyes (Our Lady of the Angels in Fort Saskatchewan), service teams, speakers,  both music ministries, all leaders and members (too many to mention) who supported and prayed, but most especially to the participants who offered and sacrificed their times for the Lord.  We commend the zealousness and fervent diligence of Bro. Ed & Sis. Yvette Morin (Household Leaders, Fort Sask.) and their household members who enthusiastically invited, led and guided all the participants who came and listened to God’s call throughout the duration of the eight weeks program.

“With faith in action, everything is possible.” All Glory and Praise to Our Lord!
